Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is a mercurial musician and singer who blends Soul gospel Jazz and R&B with a distinctive mix. The singer's career has taken her across Broadway to European events and clubs, and even to her participation in the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine, whose given name was Denise White. Though she's located in Atlanta but her origins are located in Chester Pennsylvania. There she first began to develop the musical profession by performing and singing in a church. In Atlanta, she attended Spellman College where her musical instruction began with the Atlanta's R&B Scene. The Fighting Temptations The first single with her vocals was called Stalk You A house 12 released exclusively in Japan and has been remixed since by many producers and remains a staple in her live show. She has also contributed her voice to the soundtrack of The Fighting Temptations. She was named the primary keyboardist in Tyler Perry's stage play Meet the Browns in 2005. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy and Tony Award winning vocalist who has worked on stage production Dreamgirls in the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007, contacted her about being the choral leader for the stage production. Sunshine became the focus of notice during the four performances at the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was later invited to sing during the Obama's inauguration ceremony in 2009.
